Who We Are, What We Do & What Is Expected Of You

This is a new KAYAKING WEBSITE FOR SAFETY CONSCIOUS KAYAKERS who want to have fun safe kayaking trips and those who want to become safety conscious kayakers. We generally kayak from Volusia County north to St. John’s County and west to Lake and Orange Counties. At times we will venture to further destinations if there is adequate interest.
This is a meeting place for kayakers to meet other kayakers to share ideas and trips. You will be able to view, contribute to, see events that you would be interested in joining, events that you would like to suggest or lead and whatever else that would interest you. You can use the chat site to learn more from others or to extend your knowledge. We accept everyone who is interested in kayaking. We do not put limits on what kind of kayak you use, just suggestions if the type of trip would cause you difficulties.
We are a safety conscious site and will always help our fellow kayakers, however, everyone will be solely responsible for their own safety and any damages you may cause. This site, fellow kayakers, trip organizers, trip leaders or anyone else involved with this site’s activities are explicitly excluded from any law suits or liability caused by you. Participating on this site and this sites activities automatically demonstrates that you are aware of and accept the fact that you are solely responsible for your safety and any damages you may cause and no one else involved in this site has any liability for your safety or actions. Kayaking as any water sport has inherent hazards and risks and you must take responsibility to act prudently for your safety, the safety of those you are kayaking with and to those you meet on the water. You must always recognize your abilities both skills and health conditions.

Any Member can Suggest an Event Destination. You do not have to Lead it, just Suggest it. If you are not sure where to go, go to the Destinations Page to see a list of destinations. If you do not know an exact launch address, give me the closest known address and I will try to find it. I would like more member input on events so that I am not dictating all destinations. Your ideas are important.
